Healing your Tattoo

This information is based on my experience as a professional. Please do not ask your friends for information. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

You will get an adhesive bandage that should stay on for at least 3-5 days. The tattoo may have blood, ink and plasma underneath causing it to look blurred, thick and just plain weird. THIS IS NORMAL. As long as the bandage isn’t leaking please leave it on for the full recommended time.

Avoid showering for longer periods of time as your bandage is only water resistant and not water proof. Also avoid showering hot as it can soften the adhesive and make your bandage come off sooner.

Once you remove the bandage please clean your tattoo thoroughly with lukewarm water and an unscented and no dye soap. Dove, Dial, baby or green soap works great.

Once cleaned put a thin layer of ointment on your tattoo. I recommend Aquaphor or hustle butter (unless allergic to mango). Apply your ointment for at least 4 weeks multiple times daily. It should not become dry.

Avoid direct sunlight, pool, beach, ocean etc. for at least 4 weeks. These things can damage your tattoo, thicken lines and cause infections. Refrain from working out for at least 5-7 days after your tattoo.

Once your tattoo is healed always use sunscreen when outside.
